ADI's ADRF6820 quadrature demodulator is designed as a highly integrated demodulator and synthesizer for next-generation communication systems. The device is feature-rich and includes a high-linear wideband I / Q demodulator, an integrated fractional-N phase-locked loop (PLL), and a low-phase-noise multicore and voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO). In addition, it also integrates a 2: 1 RF switch, an on-chip adjustable RF balun, a programmable RF attenuator, and two low-dropout (LDO) regulators. The ADRF6820 uses a high isolation 2: 1 RF switch and an on-chip adjustable RF balun, supporting two single-ended, 50ohm terminated RF inputs. Programmable attenuator can achieve the best differential RF input level of the high linearity demodulator core. The integrated attenuator has an attenuation range of 0dB to 15dB in 1dB steps. The ADRF6820's programmable attenuator ensures the best differential RF input level for a high linearity demodulator core. ADRF6820 is developed using advanced silicon germanium BiCMOS process. Operates in a temperature range of 40C to + 85C. The device is available in a 40-pin, RoHS-compliant 6mm x 6mm LFCSP package with an exposed pad. It is particularly suitable for cellular W-CDMA / GSM / LTE applications, digital predistortion (DPD) receivers, and microwave point-to-point walkie-talkies.
