Anritsu Corporation announced that the Bundesnetzagentur (Bnetza) has adopted its base station simulator for 5G/4G/IoT technology and its Bluetooth/WLAN tester for EMC testing. The government regulator, Bnetza, tests electronic equipment for harmful emissions and assumes customer protection responsibilities.

The TKG (Deutsche Telekom Act) applies to restrictions on harmful emissions. Bnetza conducts random testing of consumer electronics to control these emissions, investigating electromagnetic emissions that could harm humans or interfere with a given standard or other electronic equipment.

The test is a daunting task for Bnetza, which entails examining any brand of W-LAN routers, Bluetooth devices and mobile phones, testing new and legacy technologies such as 5G.

Agencies combine these Anritsu test solutions with OTA test chambers and other EMC testers to perform EMC testing based on ETSIs and internal regulatory testing standards. Anritsu's MT8000A, MT8821C, MT8862A and MT8852B base station simulators and their Bluetooth/WLAN testers for 5G/4G/IoT/IoT/Bluetooth/WLAN wireless devices contribute to Bnetza's telecom regulatory efforts.
