The new Molex MXP120 sealed connector system for automotive and commercial vehicles is a high-performance Molex 1.2mm in-line connector system designed to replace traditional 1.5mm terminals in in-line wiring harness applications, saving space and under harsh conditions Provides high performance in your environment. The MXP120 system is a 4mm pitch system that can meet the requirements of medium power applications up to 13A and is suitable for most sealed wiring harness applications. The single wire seal (SWS) connection system has a robust perimeter seal to withstand high pressure spray environments . Compared with the existing 1.5mm connection system, the smaller package size of the MXP120 system can save significant space and has a larger current carrying capacity than the 0.64mm terminal system. Consists of single-row sockets and single-row blade connectors. Physical design features include independent secondary locking (ISL) on female sockets and primary locking reinforcement (PLR) on male blade connectors to ensure proper terminal positioning. At the same time, a clicking sound was heard to confirm a firm mating. Thanks to the shroud on the female socket, all circuit sizes and keying options are tamper-resistant. The female socket also has an integrated locking latch with bridge protection to prevent them from being damaged during packaging and storage and extend their useful life. The MXP120 system has a yellow housing and has been proven to meet the T3-V2-S2 performance standards for automotive safety system applications, including auxiliary inflation restraints, safety restraint systems, seat belt holders, and airbags. The black housing with standard USCAR polarization options will be available soon and has now been validated to meet the specifications of T4-V4-S3 (according to GMW3191) for high performance (temperature up to 155C / vibration up to 300m / s2) The company can use it in space-constrained situations, according to the company, for powertrain applications (injection systems, emission control, ignition coils) and body electrical connections in wet areas (external lighting, indicators, door lock mechanisms).
