Arrow Electronics has released the PSoC 64 iot Security Workshop Development Kit, a PSA-certified platform that helps accelerate the development of security systems with a PSA-certified and trusted approach.

Iot device developers can leverage the platform to align themselves with recognized industry and government e-security standards and ensure compliance with emerging iot regulations, including NIST 8259A and EN 303 645. The kit has been evaluated by SGS Brightsight and has been certified level 1 by PSA. The kit is the company's first PSA-certified product and has been co-produced with Infineon.

The PSA-certified Level 2 PSoC 64 silicon provides a RoT that provides the foundation for trusted services such as encryption and secure storage. The suite is a pre-tested and validated reference design that takes security from sensors to the cloud into account for end-to-end security purposes. The toolkit enables developers to jump-start their projects.

It includes the Infineon PSoC 64 secure AWS iot Pioneer Suite, Arrow PSoC 6 iot Sensor Shield Suite, and Shield 2Go suite, as well as AWS Cloud support with certified functional apis and integrated dashscreens for monitoring and visualization.

The suite simplifies the programming, deployment, and management of iot devices, as well as the secure connectivity of AWS cloud services. In addition, as the first PSA certification platform to adopt Amazon FreeRTOS

The PSA certification approach was co-founded by Arm and incorporates security objectives to help ensure consistent network protection and coverage throughout the device life cycle. The methodology provided by PSA Certified, coupled with the company's end-to-end support, helps reduce risk for developers, reduce costs, and speed up time to market and incorporate safety certification into the final product

David Maidment, Senior director, Security Device Ecosystem at Arm said:"Industry collaboration and standardization is critical to ensure the future of the Internet of Things,"  "Arrow is leading the way in developing PSA-certified designs that device manufacturers can use to build security into the heart of their final products, enabling mass adoption of security and reducing barriers and costs associated with security best practices."

Erik Wood, Director of Microcontroller security at Infineon said: "We will continue to work closely with Arrow to provide the best time-to-market and user experience for their customers.""We are pleased that Aereon Electronics has chosen Infineon's PSoC 64 security MCU for their PSA certified development suite,"
