Texas Instruments' bq501210EVM-756 wireless power transmitter evaluation module is a high-performance, easy-to-use development module for designing wireless power solutions. EVM provides all the basic functions of a Qi-compliant wireless charger pad. The 19V input single coil transmitter (TX) enables designers to accelerate the development of their end applications. EVM supports WPC v1.0, WPC v1.1 and WPC v1.2 receivers (RX) and is backward compatible with WPC 5W and TI 10W RX solutions. EVM demonstrated the transmitter part of the bqTESLA wireless power system. The transmitter EVM is a complete transmitter-side solution that powers the bqTESLA receiver. EVM requires a single 12V power supply capable of supplying up to 2A to operate, and combines transmitter electronics, input power circuits, LED indicators, and transmit coils on a single PCB. EVM is a non-spatially optimized open design that provides easy access to key points of the electrical schematic.
