Texas Instruments CC1200 is a fully integrated single-chip radio transceiver designed for high-performance designs. It provides very low power consumption and low voltage operation in a cost-effective wireless system. All filters are integrated, eliminating the need for expensive external SAW and IF filters. This device is mainly used in the ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) and SRD (Short Range Device) bands of 164-190MHz, 410-475MHz and 820-950MHz. CC1200 provides extensive hardware support for packet processing, data buffering, burst transmission, clear channel evaluation, link quality indication and radio wake-up. The main working parameters of CC1200 can be controlled through SPI interface. The company said that in a typical system, the CC1200 will be used with a microcontroller and some external passive components.
