Vishay has expanded its IHLE line of thin, high-current inductors, which offer integrated electric field shielding to reduce EMI, with new commercial and automotive grade devices in 5mm x 5mm x 3.4mm 2020 housing sizes. The Vishay Dale IHLE-2020CD-51 and IHLE-2020CD-5A are the smallest devices on the market, eliminating the need for separate board-level Faraday shielding, thereby reducing costs and saving board space.

The inductor can work up to +155C at high temperature, and the coplanar performance of four terminals is less than or equal to 100 μ m. After optimization, the inductor can be used to store energy in DC-DC converter up to 3MHz, and has good noise reduction effect in the application of high current filtering to SRF. The device contains the electric field and b-field associated with EMI, providing a -20dB reduction in the electric field at 1cm (above the inductor center) when the integrated shield is connected to ground in a tinned copper integrated shield.

Aec-q200 qualified IHLE-2020CD-5A can be used for noise suppression of automotive engine and drive control units, LED drivers, instrument panels, entertainment/navigation systems, ADAS devices/sensors, and PWM controlled motors. Applications for the IHLE-2020CD-51 include server and desktop computers, notebook computers, high-current POL converters, low-profile, high-current power supplies, FPgas and battery-powered devices

Rohs compliant, halogen-free, Vishay Green. The inductor, packaged in a 100% lead-free shielded composite structure, reduces buzzing to ultra-low levels, has high resistance to thermal shock, moisture and mechanical shock, and handles high transient current spikes in unsaturated conditions
