ADI's DC2527A-B demo board evaluates the performance of its LTM4646 dual 10A or single 20A efficient, switch-mode step-down power supply μModule regulator. The evaluation board includes a demo circuit 2527A-B with an LTM4646EYμModule regulator. The device has a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 20V and an output voltage of 0.6V to 5.5V. With CPWR bias, the input voltage can be as low as 2.375V. This board also supports certain deratings required for VIN, VOUT, frequency and thermal conditions. The TRACK / SS pin allows the creator to program output tracking or soft-start cycles. The board operates in continuous conduction mode under heavy load conditions. To achieve high efficiency at low load currents, the creator can use the MODE_PLLIN jumper to select discontinuous conduction mode. In addition, the MODE_PLLIN pin enables the regulator to synchronize to an external clock signal between 300kHz and 1.3MHz. Using this board, designers can choose to choose internal and external compensation circuits for the μModule regulator.
