The HMC292A GaAs MMIC double-balanced mixer from Analog Devices is a miniature passive GaAs MMIC double-balanced mixer that can be used as a down-converter or up-converter from 14GHz to 32GHz. On-chip baluns provide excellent isolation. The mixer requires no external components or DC bias. All data is measured by the chip in a 50 ohm test fixture, which is connected by a ribbon bond with a minimum length of 0.076 mm (0.003 inches) less than 0.31 mm (<0.012 inches). These applications include microwave point-to-point radios, LMDS, VSAT, ECM and SATCOM. The EV1HMC292ALC3B evaluation board evaluates the functions of the HMC292A. Developed using RF circuit design technology, the board provides a sufficient number of vias to connect the top and bottom ground planes. Board of Directors'
