Post Date: 2022-11-12, Analog Devices Inc.

Analog Devices DC3008A LT8386 demonstration circuit is a 60V 3A Silent Switcher synchronous boost LED driver with LT8386. When the VIN is between 4V and 40V, it drives a string of LEDs with a current of 500mA to 45V. It operates at a voltage as low as VIN, reduces ILED, and can withstand a VIN of up to 50V, but the overvoltage lockout (OVLO) for this application is set to 45V. DC3008A operates at 340kHz switching frequency. Spread spectrum modulation (SSFM) can be turned on with simple jumpers to reduce EMI. Analog Devices DC3008A has low EMI characteristics, including optimized layout, SSFM and input EMI filter.

QUICK START PROCEDURE

It is protected against on and short LED conditions and reports faults. The LT8386 boost converter has an input voltage range of 4V to 56V. Its internal synchronous 3.3A 60V switch allows up to 52V led (with adjustment of FB resistor) output and space open circuit overvoltage protection and overshoot leadership activities. The switching frequency between them can be adjusted to 200kHz and 2MHz. It can be synchronized with external sources or programmed with SSFM to achieve low EMI. The PWMTG high side PWM MOSFET drives auxiliary short circuit protection and versatility. The LT8386 can be configured as a boost, boost buck or buck mode LED driver and maintain all its low EMI, PWM dimming, and fault diagnosis features.
