Bourns has introduced two new families of low heat-resistant ceramic core-wound resistors. The Axial Leaded Resistor Series provides designers with effective circuit conditioning solutions for applications with particularly high temperature and voltage requirements and operating in harsh environmental conditions. The coating materials of the W and WS series fixed resistors comply with UL 94V-0 standards, provide E24 resistance values, and are designed to operate at extreme temperatures from -55C to + 200C. These parts can meet the circuit regulation needs of various industrial and consumer applications, such as smart meters, white goods, power supplies, instruments / instruments, lighting and renewable energy systems. The W series has a power range from 1W to 10W and resistance values ??from 15ohm to 150ohm. It is designed to withstand the surge of a 1.2 / 50μs voltage waveform as described in IEC 61000-4-5. The WS series has a power range of 1W to 8W and a resistance range of 15ohm to 3.3kohm. "We have specifically introduced other products into our circuit regulation portfolio, so our consumer and industrial electronics customers can meet the needs of continuous applications with high temperature stability, enhanced power handling capabilities, and low resistance values," Bourns' product line manager Brian Ahearne said, Inc. "These new series complement other circuit conditioning components provided by Bourns, including PTC resettable fuses, power inductors, rectifier diodes and Zener diodes."
