Cypress Semiconductor provided Arm's Platform Security Architecture (PSA) Trusted Firmware-M reference example for Arm's PSoC 6 MCU, enabling the solution to adhere to the highest level of protection defined by the PSA. By leveraging PSA's overall threat model, security analysis, hardware and firmware architecture specifications, and Trusted Firmware-M reference implementation, IoT designers can quickly and easily implement secure designs using PSoC 6 MCUs. "IoT devices are rapidly being deployed. To truly realize the benefits of these technologies, security is not essential," said Paul Williamson, vice president and general manager of Arm's IoT device IP business. "Achieving secure MCU development in the entire IoT application is the common responsibility of the industry. Cypress's PSoC 6 MCU will further extend the advantages of PSA to our ecosystem." Sudhir Gopalswamy, senior vice president of microcontrollers and connectivity at Cypress, said: "Thanks to the security features built into PSoC 6 MCUs and our partnership with Arm, we can quickly support Trusted Firmware-M." "We are excited to provide designers with a secure solution that has ultra-low power consumption, is flexible and meets PSA principles."
