Diodes Incorporated's next-generation AZV3001 single-channel comparator was developed specifically for battery-powered devices that require low-voltage operation. Single-channel devices consume only 6μA and provide "guaranteed" operation from 1.6V to 5.5V, making them ideal for systems with a nominal power supply of 1.8V, 3V, or 5V, such as mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. Provides superior performance and helps extend battery life. The comparator has internal hysteresis to prevent undesirable small voltage fluctuations and uses complementary output stages, including P-channel and N-channel MOSFETs, to drive the output with a complete rail-to-rail voltage swing. Miniaturization package options help reduce PCB board space: the AZV3001 is available in a 6-pin X2-DFN1410-6 package, and the dual-channel AZV3002 will be available in an 8-pin U-FLGA1616-8 package later this year. These comparators have a low propagation delay of 0.8 μs, a low input bias current of 1 pA, and there is no risk of phase shift when the input is overdriven, providing a universal solution for embedded system design engineers to meet almost all low voltages Demand for portable devices, the company said.
