Diodes Incorporated now offers the AP43771 USB Type-C PD controller, which provides one-time programmable memory for embedded microcontrollers. When combined with the company's complementary technology, the device forms the basis of offline chargers, which can generate power from 18W to 33W, while supporting Quick Charge with extremely low standby power consumption.
This device represents the company's second-generation highly integrated controller optimized for fast chargers. It combines support for USB PD version 3.0 V1.1 and Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC) 2.0, 3.0 and 4/4 + technologies, and Battery Charging (BC) version 1.2.
When used with the company's AP39303 PWM switch and APR34709 synchronous rectifier switch, the device can generate 18W of power. When used with the AP3303 PWM controller and APR347 SR controller, the device provides a 33W charger solution.
