With integrated diagnostics, AEC-Q100 product certification, optional wettability flanks and low annual drift, Sensirion devices set the highest standard for demanding applications. It has also added the digital automotive sensor SHT4xA to its family of humidity and temperature sensors.

SHT4xA is based on the company's CMOSens technology and 20 years of humidity measurement experience. The sensor is designed for automotive applications to meet the most demanding reliability requirements, such as accelerated life testing at 85C/85%RH. In addition, the integrated heater allows the chip to self-diagnose throughout its life.

The sensor is available in various accuracy grades and has an I2C or PWM interface. The operating voltage range is 2.3V ~ 5.5V. Optional protection options utilize application films or protective films to provide splash water protection or assist in handling during production. Optional wettable flanks for DFN enclosures enable AOI after PCB surface mount. Accuracy tolerances of ±2%RH and ±0.2C are available over the full measurement range of 0%RH to 100%RH and -40C to 125C.

Maximilian Eichberger, Director of Product Management Humidity and Temperature Sensors at Sensirion said:"Sensirion has been setting the industry standard for humidity sensor technology for over 20 years. This is based on our capabilities in ASIC, MEMS and package design, as well as our proven calibration expertise. Combined with our very extensive application knowledge, the SHT4xA has again achieved A leap in innovation that our customers can now benefit from,”
