The GDT35 series extends Burns' tradition of quality, innovation and design of gas discharge tube (GDT) overvoltage arresters, and sets standards in terms of speed and robustness. Similar to the previously released double electrode model GDT25 series, GDT35 series has significant improvements in preventing voltage transients caused by lightning or accidental contact with AC power lines. Through the improvement of computer modeling and simulation, GDT35 next-generation series provides better surge current processing capability, and strengthens the voltage limit level in the event of rapid rise to reduce the pressure of downstream components. 

                           

For this three electrode version, Bourns' unique coplanar fitting allows components to switch in any direction until a three-point contact is established. With low capacitance and low insertion loss, GDT35 series is an ideal solution to protect industrial communication and high-speed ICT equipment.

Burns' GDT35 design kit (DK-GDT35-01) contains five of the eight most popular GDT35 voltages, providing design engineers with protection solutions for rapid steering prototype testing.
