LittelFuse's IC (EFUSE) based on semiconductor -based protection IC (EFUSE) also provides highly integrated functions in compact packaging in the compact packaging. They provide the protection of overcurrent, overvoltage, under pressure, over temperature, reverse current, and the protection of surging flow in hot insertion and hot insertion incidents.

Compared with traditional fuse and PTC, accuracy and integration provides highly accurate current, faster response time, and more integrated protection, sensing and control functions. The requirements for programming and customized design combine greater flexibility, such as adjustable overvoltage thresholds, current limits and surge, and real reverse current blocking has accelerated the time of listing compared with traditional power switches.

Compared with typical discrete solutions (for example, hot insertion controller+ MOSFET), the design phase, PC board space requirements, BOM costs, and listing time are reduced. These regulators help maximize the normal operation time of the equipment, increase the reliability of the product, increase the battery life, reduce the maintenance cost, and extend the overall product life.
