Low profile and high current inductor offer competitive lead times

Technology Cover
Post Date: 2022-01-01, Vishay Semiconductor Diodes Division

Vishay Intertechnology says its IHLP thin high-current inductors have a stable and competitive lead time of 10 to 16 weeks. As a result, the company is not currently experiencing a shortage of these products as productivity increases and capacity expands. As it continues to work to increase capacity, the company does not expect any problems in providing equipment to customers in 2021 and beyond.

Applications for business devices include laptops, desktops and servers; Low profile, high current power supply; Battery-powered devices; Bohr converter; Distributed power system and FPGA. Available in ten sizes from 1212 to 8787, the inductor is available in commercial and automotive grade versions. Automotive class equipment is designed for engine and transmission control units, diesel injection drivers, filtration and DC/DC conversions for entertainment/navigation systems, and noise suppression for high-current brushless DC motors, windscreen wipers, power mirrors and seats, HID and LED lighting, heating and ventilation blowers.

These inductors are packaged in a 100% lead free (Pb) shielded composite construction that reduces hum to ultra-low levels and offers high resistance to thermal shock, moisture and mechanical shock. They can handle high transient current spikes without saturation.
