With Maxim's new MAX14853 / MAX14855 and MAX14943 / MAX14949 series of highly integrated RS-485 transceivers, designers can more easily design efficient and robust communication systems for industrial automation applications. Designers of industrial automation equipment need to provide flexible and efficient solutions. The highly integrated RS-485 transceiver family, integrated transformer driver and low-dropout (LDO) regulator simplifies power and data isolation designs. Both the MAX14943 isolated RS-485 / PROFIBUS DP transceiver and the MAX14949 transceiver provide up to 80% efficiency at 150mA load. This series provides full-duplex or half-duplex isolated RS-485 transceivers, supports performance up to 5kVrms, and allows powerful communication up to 25Mbps. This transceiver is ideal for industrial automation, programmable logic controller (PLC), HVAC and power meter applications. Timothy Leung, senior business manager, Maxim Integrated, said: "Our high ESD transceivers, combined with Maxim's powerful digital isolation technology, provide the industry's most powerful isolated RS-485 solution on the market." We integrated the LDO to regulate isolated power , And provide designers with smaller solutions and lower system costs. " Databeans Research Director Susie Inouye added: "Efficient and robust communication is essential when designing industrial automation equipment. Maxim's transceiver family provides the ideal solution for designers who want to achieve this.
