The module is designed for the new Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) system for applications such as residential gateways, wireless routers, access points, and Internet of Things (IoT).
The Qorvo QPF4532 FEM, available from Mouser Electronics, integrates a 5.0 GHz power amplifier (PA), single pole double throw (SP2T) switch and bypassable low noise amplifier (LNA) in a single device. The compact form factor and integrated matching of the QPF4532 can effectively reduce its footprint in the application. The device optimizes the power amplifier for a 3.3 V supply voltage, reducing power consumption while maintaining high linear output power and excellent throughput. The design of the receive path is matched with advanced technology, allowing the QPF4532 to significantly improve receive sensitivity, with a noise figure as low as 2 dB, and consistent performance in more diverse conditions.
The QPF4532 integrates chip-level second and third harmonic filtering and 2.4 GHz rejection for dual-band dual-shot (DBDC) operation. Housed in a halogen-free, lead-free package, the device integrates a DC power detector capable of delivering a voltage proportional to the output power on the transmission path.
For ease of development, Mouser also stocks the QPF4532EVB evaluation board, which provides an example application circuit for quick prototyping when incorporating it into an existing design.
