   Infineon Technologies Co., LTD has launched the F3 Enhanced (1ED332x) series independent EiceDRIVER enhanced gated drive. The door driver series provides reliable and universal protection against damaging short circuit events. The Driver family was developed for industrial drives, solar systems, electric vehicle charging, energy storage systems, commercial air conditioning and other applications. This allows traditional power switches such as IGBT and CoolSIC wideband gap devices to be protected.

    The unit is installed in a 300mil wide-body DSO 16 package with a significant leakage distance of 8mm. Single-channel isolated gate drivers have CMTI of up to 300kV/us and typical output current of up to 8.5a. Tight propagation delay matching minimizes dead zone, improves system efficiency and reduces harmonic distortion. The driver family offers short circuit clamping and active shutoff, as well as an active Miller clamp.

    The drive family is ideal for operation in high ambient temperatures and fast switching applications, and is ideal for harsh environments. Therefore, it is the ideal choice for traditional IGBT, IGBT7 and SiC MOSFET. In addition, its 2300V capability supports power switches with more than 1200V blocking voltage. UL 1577 and VDE 0884-11 (Enhanced Isolation) certifications ensure high application reliability and long service life. These devices are designed for wide power ranges and support an absolute maximum output voltage of 40V.
