Murata Power Solutions offers new developments for industrial-grade DC-DC half-brick converter modules. ICH series industrial-grade isolated DC-DC converters use industry standard half-brick packages with dimensions of 61mm x 64mm x 13.2mm, which can provide 360W to 500W high-efficiency backplane cooling power. This series is designed for harsh service or industrial applications and has features such as a wide 4: 1 input voltage range from 9VDC to 36VDC, and a specially designed package / substrate that allows conductive cooling to improve Thermal performance, including closed box applications. These high-efficiency converters, typically up to 95.7% for 500W units, are available in three single output models, offering stable 12VDC, 24VDC or 28VDC. Electrical and mechanical design enables the ICH series to provide complete power ratings over a substrate temperature range of -40C to + 105C without reducing power. In addition, ICH is designed to meet the environmental stress limits of shock and vibration specified in MIL-STD810G throughout its useful life. This series achieves its high performance by combining proprietary circuit architecture, advanced packaging and advanced thermal design. The output is completely isolated from the input power, which can flexibly meet various grounding requirements or produce positive or negative output. All models are standard equipped with 2250VDC rated current input and output isolation, and with a basic insulation system. The design of this series complies with EN60950, UL / CSA safety requirements for embedded power modules. The semi-brick hermetically sealed packaging that meets industry standards is specifically designed to meet the requirements of harsh working environments and meets the functional shock and vibration requirements of the MIL-STD-810G standard. Typical applications include 12V or 24V battery systems, electric drive systems, emergency vehicle electronics, smart grids and heavy truck solutions. All models come standard with positive logic remote on / off control and full protection features, including input transients to 50VDC, thermal shutdown, output overcurrent, and input undervoltage lockout.
