Micron has released the Micron 7400 SSD with NVMe, and through this combination, the company offers the most comprehensive selection of SSDS available in mainstream data centers. The new SSD provides seven form factors that facilitate the transition to the next generation server architecture. Delivers industry-leading form-factor flexibility, PCIe Gen4 performance, and cutting edge security to meet the storage needs of data center workloads.

Jeremy Werner, vice president and General manager of Micron's storage business unit said:"Our customers need increased storage density and efficiency to run their businesses,"  "The Meguiar 7400 SSD has the flexibility to address myriad application and system interoperability requirements, enabling deployment and delivering value from edge to cloud."

SSDS include PCIe Gen4 m.2 22mm x 80mm, the only one with power-off protection, and 2.5 "u. 3 data center SSDS with 15mm and 7mm thicknesses. It also offers the new E1.S Enterprise and Data Center SSD Form Factor (EDSFF) in three different sizes for higher density, flash optimized performance, and improved power and cooling options. This wide selection indicates that customers can migrate from a traditional server to a dense EDSFF server design with an SSD. The portfolio offers a wide range of capacities from 400GB to 7.68TB, supporting low - to high-volume applications.

It also has durability options for 1 and 3 drive writes per day to support read and write intensive applications. SSDS leverage the company's complete vertical integration capabilities to bring industry-leading innovation, from controllers to firmware and leading NAND and DRAM technologies to world-class front and back end manufacturing.

Patrick Moorhead, principal analyst at Moor Insights and Strategy said:"The Micron 7400 SSD offers broad appeal for edge-to-cloud deployments,"  "A variety of applications and workloads with unique requirements can benefit from the new shape's high performance and efficiency, as well as security features designed to prevent network and physical attacks."
