RECOM has launched a new RBB10 buck-boost converter with DOSA size and ultra-low profile. These power modules provide regulated output voltages from various input voltage ranges in applications such as USB voltage regenerators, 3.3V to 5V converters, and battery regulators. This series is a 4A non-isolated buck / boost regulator power module that provides an ultra-low profile for space-critical applications. Due to its buck-boost operation mode, it allows the input voltage to be higher than, equal to, or lower than the adjusted output voltage. The transition from buck mode to boost mode is smooth without interrupting the output. The compact modules are up to 96% efficient, allowing them to operate at full load at ambient temperatures up to 85 ° C without forced air cooling. The six-sided shielded package optimizes EMC performance and thermal management. All these features make this converter an excellent modular solution for many applications, such as USB voltage regenerators, 3.3V to 5V converters, and supercapacitors or lithium-ion battery regulators.
