ROHM has developed isolated flyback DC-DC converters, eliminating the need for feedback circuit types such as optocouplers with limited service life or methods of auxiliary windings with large transformers. This greatly simplifies power configuration, making it ideal for industrial equipment that requires advanced safety features, such as power storage systems, FA equipment, and high-power inverters. The series includes two models and is available in two different packaging types. BD7F100 is a non-optically coupled isolated flyback DC-DC converter with primary-side control. It uses the company's most advanced adaptive on-time control technology to control the output voltage. No other components are needed to keep the loop stable. The BD7F200 has an input voltage range of 8V to 40V, covering all applications with power requirements from 1W to 10W. Both are available in two packaging options: HSON8 and HTSOP-J9. In addition, for BD7F100xxx-LB and BD7F200xxx-LB, an evaluation board with integrated BD7F100HFN-LB is also provided. The BD7F100HFN-EVK-001 evaluation board makes it easy to evaluate and verify the operation of its isolated flyback DC-DC converter controller (24V input, 5V / 800mA output).
