Renesas Electronics has expanded the RX24T and RX24U groups of its 32-bit MCUs to include new high-temperature models for motor control applications requiring extended operating temperature ranges. The new RX24T G and RX24U G versions support operating temperatures from 40 ° C to + 105 ° C, while managing the high performance, high speed and energy efficiency of RX24T and RX24U MCUs. "Through the Internet of Things, network-connected home appliances and industrial machinery are gaining greater functionality, enhanced user interfaces and limited internal space and efficient use of high-temperature environments have become major issues," said Akira Denda, Vice President, Renesas Industrial Automation Business Unit Industrial Solutions Business Unit. "The latest members of the RX24T and RX24U groups provide the outstanding features and performance that RX users expect from their MCUs while meeting thermal resistance requirements to support safe and flexible device designs." Software can be produced using the RX24T and RX24U CPU cards and a 24V motor control evaluation kit, which allows developers to build motor control applications in less time.
