Littelfuse, Inc. offers the new SPxxR6, a series of four-channel, low-capacitance (0.2pF) TVS diode arrays. These rugged diodes provide extremely low breakdown/start voltages, making them excellent protectors for low voltage (-0.3V to +0.3V) high speed data lines.

Exceeding the maximum level specified in the IEC 61000-4-2 international standard (Class 4, ±8kV contact discharge), they can safely absorb repeated ESD strikes without degrading performance.

These devices are ideal for a variety of data communication interfaces for consumer electronics, including USB 3.2 and 4.0, Thunderbolt 3.0 and 4.0, and PCI Express 6.0.

Jia Zhu, product marketing manager for Littelfuse Diode arrays said:"Chips from USB 4.0 vendors are known to be particularly vulnerable to voltage damage above 3.3V," "The SP33R6 and SP00R6 TVS diode array family provides an exceptional solution for protecting high-speed interfaces such as USB 4.0 from repeated ESD strikes."

Jia continued: "Use a multi-wire package package (SP33R6) or 0201-package (SP00R6) that may already be on the board; Design engineers can expect a 10-fold reduction in through-voltage compared to existing solutions on the market today."
