    TDK has introduced its 20U high, 19 "rack-mounted cabinet high power solution for the TDK-Lambda GENESYS+ family of programmable DC power supplies. These cabinets are mounted on lockable casters for easy repositioning around research or production facilities. The configurable GSPS series has output power of 30kW, 45kW or 60kW and can seamlessly switch between constant voltage, constant current and constant power limited operating modes.

     The company's patented advanced parallel system provides dynamic load response and ripple and noise characteristics comparable to a single power supply. The series has been developed to meet the needs of test and measurement, automotive component testing, high-power magnets, medical imaging, aerospace, semiconductor processing, industrial automation and process control applications. Up to four popular 15kW power supplies can be configured internally to provide 41 standard voltage/current combinations ranging from 0-10V to 0-0600V, with output currents up to 4,500A.

     Safety features are standard on all GENESYS+ power supplies, providing safe/automatic restart, and finally setting memory and built-in voltage, current and temperature protection features. Two input voltage ranges are available -- three-phase low voltage 170 to 265VAC or three-phase high voltage 342 to 528VAC. The input circuit breaker is reachable on the front panel of the cabinet, and the parallel output bus is connected to the rear of the cabinet.

     Standardized programming for the entire family of GSPS utilizes front panel control and remote control via LAN (LXI 1.5), USB 2.0 and RS232/485 communications or isolated analog control and monitoring interfaces (0-5V, 0-10V), which are provided as standard. Optional interfaces include GPIB (IEEE488.2), EtherCAT, Modbus-TCP and IS420 (4mA to 20mA isolated current programming loop). The package provides the software driver, waveform creator, and virtual front panel GUI.

    The series also complies with IEC/EN 61203-3 for conducted and radiated electromagnetic interference and EMC interference. The five-year warranty series is IEC/EN/UL 61010-1 certified for safety, CE and UKCA marked for low voltage, EMC and RoHS directives.
