NXP Semiconductors has released one of the safest products in the MIFARE ultralight family. MIFARE Ultra Light AES uses standard AES authentication with universal standard EAL3+ security authentication to provide privacy and security for contactless tickets for limited use, RFID basic VIP cards and other contactless applications for limited use.

The solution is recommended by the national institute of standards and technology with enough length of key encryption technology, used for security authentication and the protected data access, and may choose to limit the negative authentication attempt, provides more secure protection for the guest room and access, or as a safe transportation bills in the smart city.

The new IC uses the same memory structure within the family, making it easy for developers to quickly deliver advanced security in limited use ticketing applications.

Andre Perchthaler, manager of NXP's MIFARE Smart Cities division said:"From hotel key cards to transportation and event tickets, we are making it easier for developers to achieve secure, contact-free access at scale,"  "By leveraging a single, standards-based encryption method such as AES, service providers prevent fraud to a greater extent while also being able to simplify integration and key management. With MIFARE Ultralight AES, the complete MIFARE portfolio now offers AES certification from single-use to multi-application, simplifying access infrastructure and reducing complexity and maintenance costs."
