The Littelfuse 494 Series Rapid Response SMF is an ultra-small (0603 size) thin film device that is 100% lead-free and RoHS compliant. Secondary protection of circuits in space-constrained applications, including hand-held portable electronics.
A code is marked on the upper surface of the unit to allow ampere rating identification without testing. It offers a low profile for highly sensitive applications and has a flat top surface for pick and place operations. The element cover material is resistant to industry standard cleaning operations. Mounting pads and electrical properties are the same as the 431 and 434 series. The device's alloy-based element construction provides superior impact resistance (I2t) over ceramic or glass-based 0603 fuse products. This product is suitable for lead-free solder and high temperature profiles. This high-performance material improves performance in applications with higher ambient temperatures.
