Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced that its AC and AC-AT series axial cement wound resistance devices have added bending wire options that are easy to pick and place, namely, WSZ lead type devices AC03 WSZ and AC03-AT WSZ, which can be used as surface mount components. Vishay Draloric resistor has high power level and excellent anti pulse performance. It is the first non inductive resistor in the industry

WSZ linear resistors can be attached to the PCB together with other table-mount devices to improve pick-and-drop processing and reduce costs. Devices can be used as buffer resistors, load resistors, and surge current limiting resistors for automotive and industrial electronics, energy meters, and white goods power precharge/discharge applications.

The device is coated with a strong, fire-resistant silicone cement and conforms to UL 94 V-0 flame retardant test standards for use under severe operating conditions. The operating temperature of the resistor is -55 C to +250 C. The wound structure meets the strict requirements of mechanical resistance, thermal shock, dielectric strength and high temperature insulation resistance. Devices are RoHS compliant, halogen-free, tinned ends compatible with lead free (Pb) and lead containing (Pb) welding processes.
