ADI has introduced a low power, high performance, 24-bit single-channel sigma-delta A / D AD7768-1 for accurate conversion of AC and DC signals. This device provides power efficient instrumentation solutions for condition monitoring, preventive maintenance (vibration and power quality), acoustics, audio testing, structural health and modular automated electrical test equipment. Medical applications such as Clinical EEG / EMG / ECG are also enabled. The device provides a configurable and reusable data acquisition space, setting a new industry standard for a combination of AC and DC performance. This allows instrumentation and industrial system designers to reuse the core acquisition chain, which can serve many measurement variables in isolated and non-isolated applications between channels. A single converter participates in various device platforms, performance points and measurement ranges, reducing the number of reference designs, reducing costs and shortening time to market. The device includes a power-scalable sigma-delta A / D modulator and a digital filter to achieve synchronization and high-fidelity measurement of AC and DC signals in the instrument. The device's high throughput and 110.8kHz input bandwidth reduce test costs and save time, thereby improving the quality and integrity of test measurements. The device provides comprehensive digital filtering capabilities that can be selected to meet a wide range of system requirements to meet the needs of high-precision frequency-domain measurements and low-latency DC input measurements. The ADC also provides an integrated precharge buffer on each analog input, greatly simplifying the design of external driver circuits. The complete buffer input on the reference provides a high-impedance input for any external reference.
