Fluke Corporation has introduced a new fixture meter, the Fluke 393 and 393 FC, which are believed to be the world's first true RMS solar clip meters rated CAT III/1500VDC according to the latest clip meter safety standard IEC/EN 61010-2-032:2019. Used to measure solar installation voltage under the new standard of 1500 volts, while providing higher safety specifications and ease of use in crowded solar confluence boxes.

Clamp meters can measure up to 1500VDC compared to standard instrument applications, which are limited to 1000VDC.

This makes Fluke 393 an ideal choice for utility-scale, large-scale industrial and commercial-scale solar farm installation and maintenance.

The instrument's IP54 rating makes it suitable for testing solar installations in a variety of climates and weather conditions, protecting the instrument from dust and rain intrusion.

Fluke Connect enables maintenance technicians and service personnel to document value and share it with their teams. Up to 65,000 data points can be recorded and uploaded. The device provides a connection to Fluke Connect, eliminating the need for handwritten notes

In addition to voltage and current measurements, the new clamp meter provides DC power measurements and data recording to improve work efficiency.

"as the world's first solar clamp meter to provide CAT III safety at 1500V, the new 393 and 393 FC clamp meters set a new standard in solar installation testing. They are designed to be very safe and easy to use, helping to help installers and maintainers quickly connect solar farms to the network and keep them producing renewable energy."Hans-dieter Schuessele, Fluke, said
