The TSA7887 is a stand-alone, 2-channel, high-speed, micro-power, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) capable of powering from a single +2.7V to +5.25V power supply. Fully specified from -40ºC to +125ºC, and available in 8-pin SOIC and MSOP packages

Typical Application Circuit

The TSA7887 has a throughput rate of 125 ksps and an external 2MHz serial clock, and obtains a supply current of 0.85mA. Wide-band input tracking holds 500ns of signal acquisition and has a single-ended sampling topology. The output data is encoded as direct binary, and the ADC is able to convert the full-power signal to 2.5 MHz. The ADC also contains an integrated 2.5V benchmark, or the VREF pin can be superdriven by an external benchmark.

The TSA7887 provides one or two analog inputs, each ranging from 0 to VREF. Analog input ranges from 0V to VDD in dual-channel operation. Efficient circuit design ensures power consumption as low as 2mW(typical) during normal operation and 3μW during power failure.
