Omron's comprehensive G3VM series MOSFET relays come in a variety of packages, different contact forms, switching capacities and functions. Combining the advantages of electromechanical technology and solid-state technology, MOSFET relays can meet the requirements of many communication equipment, test and measurement, building automation and safety, industrial equipment, and medical applications. For example, ultra-sensitive types are ideal for battery-powered equipment, high-current models are the choice for industrial equipment, and low CxR lines have been developed to accurately transmit high-frequency signals. The advantages of MOSFET relay are low maintenance cost, small footprint, light weight, low driving force, small leakage current, long service life, strong impact resistance, high insulation and fast switching speed. With input LEDs, photodiode dome arrays (PDAs) used as optocouplers, and MOSFET chips in load switching currents, these components are ideal replacements for mechanical relays. They can replace reed relays and mercury-containing relays. Omron also recently expanded its product lineup to introduce the smallest relay on the market to date. The company said that the new VSON series relays are the industry leader in size and performance, with high switching capacity and high sensitivity versions.
