Radio Waves has announced a new family of low wind load, bipolar, mesh antennas with frequency ranges of 1710-4200 MHz and 2,300-2700 MHz.

The new series of low wind load, bipolar, mesh dish antennas are ideal for point-to-point use in large open areas such as base station installations or backhaul applications. They are lightweight, economical, and offer bidirectional skew (±45 degrees) polarization modes.

The multi-band design of these antennas also eliminates the need to buy different antennas for each frequency, which simplifies installation as the same antenna can be used for a variety of telecommunications equipment that requires extensive coverage. Offering 1' and 2' grid sizes, the new mesh dish is ideal for ISM, 5G, LTE, PCS, UMTS, Wi-Fi and CBRS applications.

In addition, the multi-port design of these antennas allows for 2X2 MIMO operation. Other features are available with N-type male or female connectors, gain range from 16dBi to 22dBi, rugged mounting bracket with accessory hardware.

Kevin Hietpas, Antenna Product line Manager  said:"Our new family of low-wind load, bipolar, mesh dishes for cellular and WLAN point-to-point communications significantly reduce wind load and weigh up to 70 percent less than traditional parabolic dishes. Their dual polarization allows for MIMO system setups, more consistent signals and faster data throughput, "
