Renesas - New SoCs offer 20% higher CPU speed for automotive systems

Renesas Electronics Corporation has added a new series to its R-Car SoC through R-Car Gen3e. The new series of SoCs highlights six new members and provides an expandable lineup for mid-range automotive applications that require high-quality graphics rendering, including integrated cockpit domain controllers, IVI, digital instrument clusters, driver monitoring systems, and LED matrix lights .

The new device expands SoC products and increases CPU performance to 50k DMIPS and 2GHz speeds to help automakers meet the demand for continuous user experience, safety, and security improvements.

The company's Winning Combination solution provides these R-Car Gen3e devices to reduce development time and lower BOM costs. Customers can combine these devices with their high-precision timing ICs and power management products.
