        STMicroelectronics' EVLVIPGAN50PD 45 W USB Type-C Power Delivery 3.0 Adapter is an isolated power supply based on the VIPERGAN50, the VIPER series of offline high voltage converters featuring 650 V HEMT power GaN transistors designed for quasi-resonant flyback conversion The device is designed to provide up to 45 W of output power over a wide range. On the secondary side, in order to improve the system efficiency, the rectification processing based on the SRK1001 adaptive synchronous rectification controller is adopted. Also on the secondary side, the CC/CV regulation loop that drives the power regulation stage and the USB Type-C PD interface are based on the STUSB4761 controller.

     The evaluation board implements a robust adapter that provides protection against output overvoltage, output undervoltage, output overpower, and output short circuit. Based on STMicroelectronics semiconductors, this reference design helps designers develop adapters with a short bill of materials for cost-effective, rapid designs.
