The STST LPS22DF MEMS nano pressure sensor is an ultra-compact piezoresistive absolute pressure sensor that can be used as a digital output barometer. The device offers lower power consumption and provides lower pressure noise than its predecessor.

The device supports a wide Vdd IO range for digital interfaces. The sensing element that detects absolute pressure consists of a suspended membrane manufactured using a special process developed by the company. It also includes a sensing element and an IC interface that communicates via I2C, MIPI I3CSM, or an SPI interface from the sensing element to the application.

The sensor package is perforated to allow external pressure to reach the sensing element. Provides a complete mold for holes in the LGA package. It is guaranteed to operate in the temperature range of -40℃ to +85℃.

Typical application areas include altimeters and barometers for portable devices, GPS applications, weather station equipment, sports watches, e-cigarettes, drones and gas meters.
