Pulse Embedded provides the new PICO-ITX single-board computer. The Pico-TGU4 is a compact Pico-ITX single board powered by Intel's 11th generation tiger Lake U processor, which offers a 23% performance improvement over previous generations.

The 2.5-inch device can be deployed in almost any tight space, but boasts high-performance features rarely seen in pico-ITX single-board computers, including LPDDR4x, M.2 extensions, 10Gbps USB 3.2 Gen2, and 2.5 gigabit Ethernet.

The device leverages an 11th-generation Intel Core I3 / I5 / I7 and Celeron processor with speeds up to 4.8ghz, combined with 32GB of LPDDR4x onboard memory, enabling it to deliver superior computing performance.

It has an M.2 2280 PCIE4.0 [X4] slot that can be used for ultra-fast storage or for additional AI acceleration through AI coprocessors such as Intel Movidius Myriad X, Google TPU and Kneron KL520.

The appliance leverages new Tiger Lake technology to provide an expanded selection of I/O capabilities. On the backplane, it offers two ultra-fast + USB3.2 Gen 2 ports that deliver 10Gbps. On board, there are two additional USB3.2 Gen 1 ports and four USB2.0 ports.

An interesting and powerful feature is the HDMI port on the back, which supports 4K resolution at 60fps, and the eDP port on the board can be paired with the LCD panel, making the device ideal for innovative multimedia applications. In addition, there is a SATAIII port with 5V SATA power supply, two RS-232/422/485 support, 8-bit DIO and a COM port with I2C/SMBUS for connecting various devices.

"As with all of our Embedded board lines, Impulse can be fully equipped with pico-TGU4 single-board computers to the specifications of customers at our UK engineering facilities, Includes preferred processors, memory, storage, peripherals, and embedded operating systems. We are also able to design custom cases, pair circuit boards with LCD touch screens and provide software integration services."Impulse Embedded sales Director Robert Plant said.
