ROHM Corporation has produced a high-precision, ultra-low current consumption voltage detector (reset IC) BD48HW0G-C. The device uses Nano Energy, the company's proprietary ultra-low current consumption technology. It reduces the current consumption to only 500nA (0.5 μA, which is only 6% of the standard product with the same function and accuracy).

It is optimized for a variety of automotive and industrial applications requiring voltage monitoring of electronic circuits for increased safety - including automotive electronic control units and factory automation equipment. It provides an easy application for battery-powered automotive systems to increase power consumption when the engine is stopped. This also makes it ideal for voltage monitoring of multiple power circuits in automotive and industrial applications where functional safety is required.

Additionally, the new windowed voltage detector utilizes a high-voltage BiCDMOS process and incorporates the company's proprietary analog design techniques. It is designed to achieve operating voltages up to 40V and industry-leading detection voltage accuracy of ±0.75%. At the same time, the detection voltage can be freely set, allowing high-precision monitoring of abnormal voltages in a variety of applications, from low voltage to high voltage, enabling high system reliability with minimal false failure events.
